Bi-lingual Services Begin

This past Sunday afternoon we had our first monthly bi-lingual worship service. Our Spanish language members led the service. It was an exciting time. The entire service was translated (Thanks Ivalese!). Fran Baily brought the message from the story of the Woman at the Well.

We will have a joint service once each month rotating between morning, afternoon, and evening. The next joint service will be Sunday evening, September 25.

Word from Abraham Reshad

Greetings Pastor Jackie Johns!! I sincerely hope that this letter finds New Covenant and your family doing well. How has this summer been with everything? This summer has been quite busy between speaking with all of the fellowships and visiting both sides of the family by myself (Lisa I am sure you remember had to stay in China to carry out many of her administration duties along with teaching all of the new teachers with ELIC). Being a part I think has been harder than we thought but we have done our best to make it work. Lisa and I have "chatted online" averaging about an hour a day. I honestly never thought I'd enjoy doing this, but I guess I have never had someone like Lisa to talk to online. Anyway, I sincerely apologize that I couldn't make it down there this summer to see you and the rest of the family. However, at least Lisa and I were able to see Brenda and in Beijing shortly before I came back to the states. She certainly brought with her the love of New Covenant when she came. We sincerely appreciate your support and thoughts that go with us. You have all been backing us up for years and we are continually thankful to the Father for this.

Peace,
Abraham Reshad
